Description
This course provides participants with the knowledge and skills to provide CPR in line with Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) guidelines.

Who is this course for?
This course is suitable for persons in all organisations regardless of occupation or industry.

Award Issued
Upon successful completion of the assessment requirements of this course, students will receive a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment and wallet card.

Recertification
As per ARC guidelines, CPR refresher recommended annually.

Pre-requisites
Nil

Pre-entry Requirements
Students must be physically capable of participating in the practical activities and demonstrate a basic level of language, literacy and numeracy.

Delivery Methods
The course content will be delivered in a classroom environment using PowerPoint presentations, video, group discussion and a number of demonstration and skill building activities.

Assessment Methods
Students will be assessed in a practical simulation involving the demonstration of CPR on an adult and infant manikin.
Underpinning knowledge will be assessed through the use of a theory assessment (containing multiple-choice questions).

Notes
All of our courses are tailored to site policies and procedures.
Appropriate clothing is to be worn when attending training including long pants, long shirts and enclosed footwear. PPE specified by the workplace is also to be worn.
