Description
This course provides learners with the knowledge and skills to undertake hazard analysis and issue work permits in accordance with legislative requirements, industry codes of practice and Australian Standards.

Who is this course for?
This course is suitable for persons involved in issuing work permits and monitoring the work undertaken as part of a permit system.
E.g. Confined Space, Working at Heights & Hot Work

Course Duration

  • 4 + 2 hours
Pre-entry Requirements
Candidates must be competent in the task for which they are issuing permits (i.e. confined space, hot work, working at heights, electrical excavation, etc.)

Delivery Methods
Students will participate in facilitated learning sessions using PowerPoint presentations, handouts, breakout sessions and critical discussions. During practical sessions, students will be divided into groups and facilitated through a relevant work permit activity involving hazard analysis, site preparation and completion of relevant permit documentation. Enrolments in any one course will not exceed 12.
