Description
This course provides participants with the knowledge and skills to work safely at heights in accordance with the Regulations, Codes of Practice and Australian Standards. Participants will learn how to safely use ladders and various fall prevention equipment whilst also covering the rescue & treatment of fallen personnel.

Award Issued
Upon successful completion of the assessment requirements of this course, students will receive a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment and wallet card.

Recertification
Refreshers recommended every 2 years.

Pre-requisites
Nil

Pre-entry Requirements
Students must be physically capable of participating in the practical activities and demonstrate a basic level of language, literacy and numeracy.

Delivery Methods
The course content will be delivered in a classroom environment using PowerPoint presentations, video, group discussion and a number of demonstration and skill building activities.

Assessment Methods
Students will be assessed in a practical assessment simulating a relevant scenario involving working at heights. Underpinning knowledge will be assessed through the use of a theory assessment (containing multiple- choice questions).

Notes
All of our courses are tailored to site policies and procedures.
Appropriate clothing is to be worn when attending training including long pants, long shirts and enclosed footwear. PPE specified by the workplace is also to be worn.
*Refresher training is only available to those people who have proof of undertaking the same unit of competency previously.
